Dr. Musyimi M. Mbathi
LDE East Africa Academic Coordinator
Dr. Musyimi M. Mbathi is the Academic Coordinator of the LDE East Africa Research Network (LEARN). He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning with over 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and capacity building on urban resilience, disaster risk, and participatory planning. He has led major projects, including the Mukuru Special Planning Area Plan and the UN-Habitat/ESRI 1000 Cities GIS project, and brings extensive expertise in bridging academic knowledge with community-based urban transformation.
