At the same time, we have strengthened our role in capacity development, working with policymakers, e.g. through the urban resilience masterclass, strengthening the capacities of community researchers across East Africa, and supporting students through the LEARN Master’s Thesis Lab and student minor programmes. We are working to ensure that knowledge is not only produced through research but also understood and applied.
