The two-day workshop convened close to 30 participants, including senior government representatives from clean cooking access deficit countries, experienced researchers and practitioners in the clean cooking sector, representatives from international organisations and donor agencies, actors from the
private sector and financial institutions, and civil-society groups. The countries represented in the room included Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mexico, Rwanda, Tanzania, UAE, UK, Uganda, USA, and Zambia.
