Stephen Nyagaya
Research Assistant
Stephen is a Research Assistant at Nuvoni Centre for Innovation Research (NCIR), supporting the Urban Development Program. He is an Urban Planner with interests in urban resilience, participatory planning, and environmental management. He is passionate about working with communities in supporting co-production of information, as he previously worked with the urban poor in Kitui’s informal settlements.
In his former role, he worked as a resilience officer for the ‘City Resilience Strategies Program’ under the State Department of Housing and Urban Development. Formally, he was a Physical planning assistant at the Ministry of Lands and Physical planning.
Stephen is currently undertaking a Master of Arts in Environmental Policy at the University of Nairobi.
