Alice Menya is an Urban Development Researcher, Practitioner and Educator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master’s degree in Urban Management from the University of Nairobi. She has nearly 20 years of combined professional experience in urban and regional planning, research and teaching across government, private practice, and academia. Her work focuses on urban development challenges, with transdisciplinary research interests in urban resilience, climate change adaptation, informality, urban governance, infrastructure planning and sustainability. She is involved in capacity building initiatives tailored for communities and the public sector. She also serves as the Coordinator for the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus-East Africa Research Network (LEARN)
