Beryl Onjala was a researcher within the Nuvoni Centre for Innovation Research. Her research interests were primarily in energy access, with a focus on modern cooking services, along with the sustainability, inclusiveness, and governance of mini grids in Sub-Saharan Africa. She was also interested in the trade sector.
She has Master of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and has previously worked at the Consumer Unity and Trust Society as a programme officer. She has also been a researcher at the Institute for Research in Economic Development.
