On 4 September 2026, the DACStorE Project, in collaboration with GIZ Kenya, Octavia Carbon, and Nuvoni Centre for Innovation Research, will convene a high-level technical dialogue in Nairobi on responsible Direct Air Capture and Storage (DACS) deployment in Kenya. As the first country in the Global South to host two operational DACS projects, Kenya offers a unique opportunity to examine the enabling conditions, safeguards, and governance arrangements needed for scaling carbon removal technologies.
